FIRST LOOK: New Italian dining concept Mensa opens in Kent Town

Mensa has opened in Kent Town, as a contemporary Italian restaurant.

With its fresh pasta, creative menu, and bright, beautiful dining space, Mensa is now open in Kent Town, ready to welcome the community to enjoy.

From a team of hospitality experts, Zoran Pavlovic, Eugenio Maiale and Claudio Ferraro, the trio have opened Mensa at 44 The Parade West, Kent Town. Mensa is a contemporary Italian restaurant deeply rooted in regional Italian style.

For food, Mensa will be serving up a selection of Italian snacks, entrees, and main courses, with sweet treats to finish. The standout feature of the menu will be the fresh, hand-made pasta, made in-house.

Some of the exciting pasta dishes to look forward to include triangoli, pumpkin, amaretti, sage, butter, and seeds. There is also an orecchiette, chicken liver, guanciale, chicory and gremolata. Plus a pappardelle with rabbit and green olives.

Desserts are a must-try, with traditional Italian flavours and a modern twist. Additionally, the wine can’t be forgotten about, with a list that features both South Australian and Italian listings, it perfectly complements the innovative food from the team.

The design features high ceilings, timber frames, and large windows that flood the interior with natural light. Green couches and a minimalistic aesthetic add a touch of warmth and modern charm, making it a comfortable place for casual dining or special occasions.

The space is flooded with light, and the wood cladding and claiming greens add a comfortable touch. There is also ample alfresco dining available.

Kent Town being an upcoming suburban location that is city adjacent, makes Mensa a convenient dining spot for those wanting to have a quick bowl of pasta after work or for those wanting to settle in for the night with their loved ones.
