FIRST LOOK: Historic Footy Park Precinct unveils new corporate events space overlooking the iconic oval

A new corporate venue overlooking the oval at the Footy Park Precinct in West Lakes is offering Adelaide businesses a fresh alternative to traditional CBD conference spaces.

A new corporate events space has officially opened in Adelaide’s west, providing local businesses with a fresh spot out of the city for meetings, seminars and networking events.

Located in the historic and newly renovated Footy Park Precinct in West Lakes, the Oval View Room overlooks the iconic oval and has been purpose-built to host a wide range of professional events. Designed for everything from corporate training sessions and strategy days to presentations and networking functions, the venue offers practical conferencing facilities in a unique setting.

“What makes Footy Park Precinct unique is that businesses can combine work with genuine team experiences,” shared Footy Park Precinct General Manager Jeff Dickson. “You might start the day with a strategy session overlooking the oval, enjoy lunch at the Mosaic, and finish with a round of golf simulators or mini golf. It creates a much more memorable event.”

With capacity for up to 100 guests seated or 150 for cocktail-style events, the Oval View Room has great views across the oval once known as Football Park, a site that’s deeply connected to South Australia’s sporting history.

Plus, the new space is positioned just a short distance from Adelaide’s western business corridor, with easy access and free parking, making it an appealing option for organisations wanting to bring teams together without the congestion and costs often associated with CBD venues.

The venue is fully equipped with audiovisual technology and has the space for flexible room configurations, allowing organisers to tailor events to suit their needs, whether it’s something structured or more relaxed.

“We’re seeing more businesses looking for venues that combine professional facilities with an experience that feels different to a traditional boardroom,” said Jeff. “The Oval View Room allows teams to step away from the office and spend the day somewhere inspiring, while still having access to the technology and catering required for productive meetings and presentations.”

To make it even better, catering is provided by the Mosaic Hotel, giving hosts access to a range of options like morning teas, working lunches and full hospitality packages. For teams wanting to add a social or team-building element, the precinct also includes entertainment venues like X-Golf West Lakes and Hey Caddy Mini Golf.

The venue is expected to attract strong interest for end-of-financial-year celebrations, corporate networking nights and training events for small and medium-sized businesses. Situated alongside the SANFL High Performance Centre, the precinct also carries strong links to elite sport and performance culture.

“Being located within the SANFL’s high-performance environment adds another layer to the experience,” added Jeff. “It’s a place built around teamwork, performance and connection, which aligns perfectly with what many organisations are trying to foster within their own teams. We’re developing offerings that incorporate our High Performance equipment and personnel that businesses can tap into for their events.”

As the Footy Park Precinct continues to evolve, the Oval View Room is taking another exciting step in the transformation of the former Football Park site into a modern hub for business, hospitality and entertainment in Adelaide’s west.
