Kitchen Farm Pantry has been making some exciting changes to their menu and space to create a further connection to their in-progress Farm, Kitchen Farm Adelaide Hills.
The highly popular café and produce store located in a restored garage & barn has reopened with a brand new space, and a refreshed menu that is set to change weekly.

On the new menu are a selection of mouthwatering toasties, including house-pickled zucchini, Swiss cheese and corned beef; or the salami, pepperoni, olives and red onion.
There’s also salads (how about orzo, parsley, capsicum, cucumber, red onion, olives and feta), open sandwiches (cream cheese, pumpkin, sun-dried tomatoes and rocket anyone?!) and a breakfast wrap with egg, baked beans and Swiss cheese.

The changes come as Kym Ormond joins the team as Kitchen Farm’s new Plant Nursery and Market Garden Manager or ‘The Farm Guy’ for short.
Kym previously ran Port Adelaide Food Gardening for the past four years and developed a reputation for specialising in edible plants at his nursery and being involved in many urban food gardening projects across Adelaide.

Kitchen Farm is in a new and award-winning residential development called Newenham in the Adelaide Hills. Newenham is becoming revered as a place that nourishes the health, happiness and wellbeing of everyone who chooses to visit or call it home.

Kitchen Farm makes productive use of 8 hectares of former agricultural land located in an Electranet buffer easement which is not able to be used for housing development and is too expansive to be landscaped and maintained for passive recreation purposes.

This farm will ultimately turn land that would otherwise be under utilised, into a quality agricultural productive asset which we hope will become a world leading example of the successful integration of food production and community sustainability in a greenfield residential development.
