FIRST LOOK: Mylk Bar celebrates grand opening of third location in Adelaide CBD

NOW OPEN! The third Mylk Bar location is now located on Waymouth Street, complete with an outdoor beer garden and LED TV screen for sporting events.

After announcing plans for a third location in Adelaide’s West End, the Mylk Bar is officially open and ready for business.

The licensed café, bar, and brunch spot promises to bring great coffee and healthier food options to Waymouth Street, joining neighbouring restaurants such as Eleven, and Press Food and Wine.

Mylk Bar has taken over the ground level of the heritage-listed Tolley Building, including the adjacent alley, which has been transformed into an outdoor beer garden.

“I’ve taken over [the alleyway] and decked it, so we’ve got an outdoor area. We’ve also constructed these humongous beams up the two levels that arch over the side. We’re planning to find some planter boxes and grow some greenery that will cover the roof,” said Owner Amin Ayoubi to Glam Adelaide in May.

As promised, the Mylk Bar has delivered in a big way, including a large outdoor LED TV screen in the new beer garden, perfect for watching Adelaide’s upcoming sporting events.

Designed by Damien Campagnaro and Anna DiMarco of DC Architecture and Interior Design, the new venue encapsulates Mylk Bar’s eclectic style, with concrete floors, blue stone brick, and wooden tables.

Moreover, the Mylk Bar now has a large concrete communal table opposite the bar, designed to cater for large groups meeting after work.

Mylk Bar owner Amin Ayoubi says the new location will be more food-focussed than his other two venues.

“The new location will offer the breakfast coffee trade, as well as lunch and tapas-style food in the evenings where there will be a lot of share options,” says Amin.

“There will be a focus on food, and we will be sourcing fresh, local produce and chefs that can produce their own ingredients rather than buying.”

The Mylk Bar is set to open their doors today from 8am. To celebrate the grand opening, there will be live acoustic music from Anthony Gosti between 4:30pm – 7:30pm, followed by DJ Ali B from 7:30pm onwards.
