Get ready Adelaide, this weekend is marking the first of the summer bar openings! As of today pop-up bar NEON will open it’s doors down on the Torrens Riverbank for a preview weekend before it’s official launch on Wednesday November 22.
Overlooking the Adelaide Riverbank at Adelaide Festival Centre, NEON is making the most of the breath-taking views of the Riverbank and Adelaide Oval and is the perfect place for an afternoon drink, to catch up with friends or workmates, a bite before an event at Adelaide Festival Centre or a big night out on the weekend!
There’s a range of amazing summer cocktails and share drinks that will be a hit for the warm summer nights. Feature beers include Fat Yak and Corona, with more options available. Chef Nick Filsell of Lost in the Forrest, will present an ever-evolving range of delicious street food “by hand or stick” using fresh local ingredients. The street food kitchen will be open til late each day.
Some of SA’s top acoustic performers will be playing across the summer – plus Friday and Saturday nights features a rotating list of lounge and house DJs. Ambient music will feature a fresh summer music mix with the ability for guests to interact and pick the music
On Sunday Nights, the Sunday Supper Club sees some of Adelaide’s favourite food trucks take over the NEON kitchen – along with a great summer mix from our lounge and house DJs and percussionists.
NEON is something new for summer in Adelaide – plus it will be a great hub for the Ashes and celebrating Adelaide Festival Centre’s new northern promenade – along with great activations throughout the Riverbank precinct.
NEON is open from 3pm Tuesday – Thursday and Midday Friday to Sunday. Free entry other than for special events. Best access is under the footbridge from the Festival Centre.
