A new cellar door has opened that is sure to delight spirit enthusiasts: Blend Etiquette, offering a comfortable place to enjoy a gin tasting or drink with a bite to eat in Sturt.
Blend Etiquette is owned by husband and wife duo Lindon and Geordan Lark and the brand traces its origins back to 2016.
“We’ve been around since 2016 as a small, hidden, secret distillery; we’ve always had our own brand but it’s been an opportunity to play and make fun things that we like to drink,” Lindon says.
“We love all our products but you won’t find them in a lot of places. We decided opening a cellar door was a fun way to showcase that side of our business. It’s a fun time to finally give people a face for our brand, it’s been a long time coming.”

The cellar boasts a portfolio of four core products while ensuring a consistent flow of limited-edition spirits, perfected through microbatching.
But it’s not just about the drinks; Blend Etiquette is also about the atmosphere. With interiors adorned in sage green and white that mirrors the brand’s identity, and stainless steel reflecting the essence of a distillery, the venue extends a warm invitation to all, and exudes a cosy, soft, and unpretentious atmosphere.
And, feel free to bring along the kiddos and your four-legged friends- the venue is both dog and family friendly, and Lindon says they are also trying to make it as wheelchair accessible as possible.

People can enjoy their drinks accompanied by a selection of simple sharing food while listening to nice music in a friendly atmosphere.
On the menu, you will find a sharing board done three different ways, offering something for everyone whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or a meat-lover. You will also find tasty snacks such as warm smoked olives, a dip board, taramasalata and crisps- with a beetroot dip option for vegans.
And for those who fancy a slice of pizza with their drink, Pizzeria ‘Marcellina’ is conveniently located just behind the venue. Thanks to partnering with Blend Etiquette, patrons can order pizza directly to their tables using special menu tokens.

While gin is Blend Etiquette’s signature spirit, the Larks have broadened their horizons. A recent investment in a whisky setup hints at an expanded menu, with whisky, brandy, rum, and agave spirits soon taking to the stage.
“It has been lots of time, hard work and planning but it’s starting to come to fruition,” Lindon says.
The cellar door’s philosophy remains unique: no tasting paddles for sale. Lindon emphasises, “Our goal is to offer gin tastings at no cost.”
In addition, guests can explore a comprehensive cocktail menu, wines sourced from Kangaroo Island, and local beer.

But the Larks aren’t stopping there. In an upcoming initiative, Blend Etiquette will introduce ‘F*ck Gordon.’ This venture mean customers can purchase a 700ml bottle of their ‘Yours and Mine’ gin’ and, in an enticing offer, customers can return their empty bottle and receive a price-matched second bottle equivalent to a Gordon’s gin.
Although Blend Etiquette has already welcomed its first patrons, a grand celebratory launch is scheduled for December 2nd. With live music, gourmet food trucks, and an array of beverages, it promises to be an event that spirit lovers won’t want to miss.
