A new pizza spot has opened in Henley Beach, and they’re ready to satisfy your every knead with their signature hand-stretched sourdough pizzas and flavours with a twist.
Located in the heart of Henley, Knead Pizzeria is the latest restaurant to open in the popular beachside town, and behind it is a team of creatives that are striving for perfection with every dish.
“We are a quirky little pizzeria in Henley Beach,” shared a spokesperson from the team.
The project is the brainchild of owner Kim, who has had an extensive background working in hotels and owned an events business a few years back. Now she’s excited to get back into owning a business with Knead.
Kim is joined by her friend and chef, Raj. Chef Raj has been working at Raffles Hotel in Singapore for the last twenty years. When he came on board, Knead was born!
With the team’s long-time international experience, we’re sure to see something special with Knead Pizzeria.
“Knead will be churning out sourdough, artisan, hand-tossed pizzas. We have a great mix on the menu, something for everyone,” shared the spokesperson.
Included on the menu are all your favourites, like the Margheritaaaaaa, a classic tomato base with fior di latte and basil, the Pepperoni, also with a tomato base, fior di latte, and pepperoni, then there’s also the Aloha, which is a tomato base with fior di latte, ham and pepperoni.
In addition to the classics, there are heaps of flavours unique to Knead. There’s a Mrs Potato, with a white base, roasted potato slices, Italian sausage, scamorza cheese, rosemary and garlic. There’s also a Bah Bah which comes with marinated lamb slices, feta, Greek yoghurt, dukkah, red onions, and basil. The team shared that they can’t go past the Burrata & Me pizza, which comes with creamy burrata, tomato sauce, sundried tomatoes, basil pesto, and olive oil. For an insider tip, add the San Daniele prosciutto.
Aside from pizzas, on the menu you’ll find starters like the burrata bowl, a baked brie, and a grazing board. There’s also a dessert pizza with Nutella, strawberries and icing sugar.
“Raj, our main chef, is very passionate about what he does. He’s chasing perfection, every pizza turns out to be the next best.”
At Knead Pizzeria, you’ll be able to dine in and take away, so whether you’re looking for a new date night spot or a place to take the kids for dinner or simply try somewhere new from the comfort of your own home, they’ve got you covered.
“There’s been so much community support already — when the team has been working in the store, so many people have stopped by and asked when we are going to open. I’m excited to see what’s in store.”
