Largs Bay favourite, !nk Espresso has opened a new location at the thriving, newly developed Fort Largs community hub. The new cafe will serve freshly brewed Vittoria coffees and delicious cakes to be savoured while overlooking the sparkling turquoise beaches.

It was recently revealed that leading property developer, Peet, would unveil a $10 million restoration project for the fort, hosting an array of local businesses and markets. Taperoo’s heritage-listed Fort Largs has now opened its doors to the public for the first time in over 100 years.

!nk Espresso owner, Dani Nixon said, “We’re hoping to capture the attention of people who are going for walks along the beach.” The new !nk Espresso offers a pristine spot for a rest, a coffee, and a cake, whether you’ve stopped for a visit to Fort Largs, or if you’re just strolling past.

The cafe is host to picturesque indoor and outdoor seating, both bragging stunning foreshore views, exemplified by the cafe’s floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows.

The new Fort Largs cafe taps into a new market, where previously the foreshore offered limited cafe stops. Nixon says it’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee, enjoy the ocean view, and take a cake to-go.

“Our vanilla slice is probably our most popular,” Nixon says. The cafe also offers a tasty array of slices, cakes, raw bliss balls, heaps of gluten-free options, and cookies for the kids. As well as coffees, the cafe will offer a selection of hot and cold drinks.

Nixon says moving into the new Fort Largs has been a long exciting process of about four years. “We saw it all happening because we live locally and our other cafe is just down the road. We spotted it and thought it’d be a great place to get into,” Nixon said.

“So there were a few emails back and forth and a few meetings with Fort Largs owner, Jarn Jamison, and away we went!”

!nk Espresso has covered all bases, with the new spot focussed solely on great coffees and drinks, and yummy cakes and sweet treats.

But if you’re after something more substantial, you can head down the road where the original location, which has operated for eight and a half strong years, serves up a full menu of breakfast, brunch, and lunch.

Fort Largs will begin hosting markets as early as this weekend, likely attracting a delightful mix of locals and travellers. Nixon mentioned that the markets will look to expand gradually towards an ongoing event at the fort.

Produce markets, as well as creator and makers markets, will allow local food producers, creators, and artists to showcase and sell their craft and produce. It will make for a tight-knit, locally oriented community.

The Fort Eatery will be host to a neihbourhood of food and drink offerings. Already on the list are Pasta Paradiso, Parissos Seafood, DoughBalls The Pizza Place, and of course, !nk Espresso.

Head on over to Fort Largs and grab yourself a coffee and a bite to eat while you take in the view at !nk Espresso. Now open!
