The Pixar Putt school holiday activity along Adelaide’s CBD Riverbank has been extended an extra week until Sunday October 24 to keep the mini golf fun going!
After being a smash hit interstate, the much loved open-air mini golf sensation is inspired by the stories, characters and icons from some of Pixar’s most beloved films including Toy Story, Luca, The Incredibles, Soul, Onward, Monsters, Inc., Inside Out and more.
The family fun event is running from Friday 24 September until Sunday 24 October, 2021.
On arrival to the Pixar Putt, visitors are welcomed to a human-sized Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story. You can jump in the golf cart for a picture too before skipping in!
Once you collect you putts and balls from the entrance, get ready for a Pixar paradise.
Located on the lawns and terrace next to Regattas at the Adelaide Convention Centre, there’s mini golf displays in all directions celebrating the quirky and fun characters of your favourite childhood films. Overlooking the River Torrens, you can putt your way around the Riverbank courses.
You can putt balls around the kitchen in Ratatouille, the streets of Luca and the jetty in Finding Nemo! Try to hit the balls in your first putt while playing around the colourful courses of Inside Out, The Good Dinosour and A Bug’s Life.
Listening to the upbeat music that soundtracks the event, visitors can compete and putt their way around 9 or 18 holes.
When the kids want a break from the golf they can play some keys on the open air piano.
The gorgeous spring sun filters right onto Pixar Putt so we recommend slapping on some sunscreen and a hat. The nights may get cooler so bring a jacket along for the fun.
This is the first time the event is being held in Adelaide and has been the talk of the town come school holidays.
While perfect for players of all ages during the day, ‘Pixar Putt After Dark’ sessions are for adults 18+ and will be available Thursday to Saturday nights from 7:00pm-8:45pm (course closes 10:00pm).
There’s no food onsite so we recommend having a meal before coming or bringing your own snacks to nibble on.
Also, Home Ground dining and bar at the Adelaide Convention Centre is right next door, which makes getting a bite to eat, or a drink, super easy right next to the course.
By its very nature, Pixar Putt is one of the most physically distanced events you could find anywhere. The safety of patrons is top priority and Pixar Putt will operate with a commitment to a COVID-Safe environment under a full COVID-Safe Plan in line with all South Australian government guidelines.
Pixar Putt is taking place at Riverbank Promenade, Adelaide Convention Centre for a limited season from Friday September 24 until Sunday October 24, 2021.
