Press Food and Wine levels up with fresh renovations and new menu

Press Food and Wine is showcasing its new renovations and a fresh menu, curated by new Executive Chef, Tom Tilbury.

Press Food and Wine has completed its latest renovations, and it looks bloody brilliant. Alongside the fantastic renos, the talented Chef Tom Tilbury launched a brand new menu in April.

Tom Tilbury was appointed as Executive Chef at the iconic Waymouth Street restaurant in March, after taking on Coriole at McLaren Vale. The new menu is the talent chef’s opportunity to showcase his passion for produce and sustainability in one of Adelaide’s CBD hot spots.

“It’s an amazing menu at a venue with a lot of history in the Adelaide food scene,” said Tom. “Adelaide has such a fantastic food culture, so it’s very exciting to be in the hub of it.”

“McLaren Vale and Robe were beautiful, and I’d love to do that again in the future, but it get my roots in the Adelaide dining scene is super great,” he said.

“The team behind it are amazing and the building is looking very fresh,” said Tom.

“We’ve got a real classic, New York vibe with stone features, timber, rendered walls, mirrors everywhere, a big bar, as well as fresh, shiny glassware and crockery. Classic, fresh, and refined are all words that come to mind.”

With full reign in the kitchen, Tom will be doing what he’s always loved to do – allowing the food to speak for itself.

“We’re trying to keep the food clean, elegant and simple, so it showcases the produce, its texture, and its colour,” said Tom.

“The menu will be a little more vegetable focussed, accompanied with abalone, kangaroo, king fish, potentially crayfish, pork from Boston Bay, nomad chicken, Adelaide Hills beef, and Murray cod.”

Alongside the main menu, there will also be a bar menu available from 3-5pm.
