As we get further into the new year, there’s no better time to head out and explore the state while taking some time to relax and recharge. If you’ve been looking for something along these lines, there’s a new luxury, eco-conscious retreat in the heart of the Barossa, inviting guests to do just that.
Seabrook Vineyard Retreat is a stunning new spot nestled among the vines of a family-owned wine business with generations of history. All about slowing down and experiencing life within a working vineyard, Seabrook has sweeping views, all the refined comforts you could need and authentic local touches that come together effortlessly.

Owned and operated by the Seabrook family, whose background in Australian viticulture spans five generations, the retreat is centred around a deeply personal approach to hospitality. It’s been designed to be intimate, featuring just two off-grid cabins created for couples looking for privacy, tranquillity and a sense of peace.
“Our family has been part of the Australian wine industry for five generations,” shared Hamish Seabrook, winemaker and custodian of Seabrook Wines. “Seabrook Vineyard Retreat is about sharing our patch of the Barossa, the vines, the wine, and the local produce we love. It’s a place we think is pretty special, and we want our guests to feel it too.”
The cabins have been designed with modern luxury and environmental responsibility in mind. Each is positioned carefully among the vineyard rows and designed to tread lightly on the land, while offering uninterrupted views and a feeling of total seclusion.
Inside, the cabins feature a king-size bed topped with luxurious linen, calming interiors and premium amenities sourced locally wherever possible. Guests will find Vasse Virgin bath and body products, tea from Scullery Made Tea, and coffee roasted by Barossa Coffee Roasters, creating a stay that’s grounded in its surroundings. Every detail has been selected to reflect the region and support local producers.
In keeping with the idea of switching off, there’s no TV or Wi-Fi. Instead, guests are encouraged to disconnect with board games, puzzles and books. This has been done as a deliberate return to simplicity, where the vineyard becomes the main attraction.

Something that sets Seabrook Vineyard Retreat apart is its connection to the land and the people who care for it. Seabrook Wines continues a proud fifth-generation legacy, with a small-batch approach that sees the family involved at every stage from vineyard to bottle. Guests may even be greeted by the winemaker himself, adding to the intimate experience.
To make it even better, stays can be taken to the next level with optional add-on experiences, including local breakfast hampers, Barossa charcuterie boards paired with estate wines at sunset, immersive winemaker experiences with Hamish, and chocolate and wine pairings featuring handcrafted treats from a local chocolatier.
Seabrook Vineyard Retreat is sure to become a must-stay destination for eco-conscious couples, wine lovers and travellers craving a meaningful Barossa escape. Bookings are now open on their website!
