FIRST LOOK: The Lucky Dumpling Market Opens on Adelaide’s Riverbank

Last night, the Lucky Dumpling Market launched out the front of the new Adelaide Convention Centre on the lawns of the Riverbank, forming a massive OzAsia festival hub right next to the footbridge.

Spring has arrived in Adelaide, with the promise of better weather, and the usual truckload of festivals descending upon us! First off the rank is the Spring Racing Carnival, which is already in full swing, followed closely by the OzAsia Festival.

As with last year’s OzAsia Festival, there’s a fabulous hub being created for your entertainment pleasure. This year it’s being brought to you by the team behind the Adelaide Fringe venue Gluttony.

Last night, the Lucky Dumpling Market launched out the front of the new Adelaide Convention Centre on the lawns of the Riverbank, forming a massive festival hub right next to the footbridge, and boy was it an amazing first night. Picture 20 degrees, beautiful sunset, stunning lights and mouth-watering food.

It will run until Sunday October 8th and is filled with delicious food, including dumplings (of course), hot pots, noodles, curry and more. Discover a feast for your senses that will transport you to the street markets of Asia, with authentic cuisine, premium wine and beer, and market stalls.

After feasting on the freshest Teppanyaki Noodles we polished off the most delicious dumplings from TMR that literally popped in our mouths, and then treated ourselves to doughnuts from Mr Doughnuts. Lets just say we left the Lucky Dumpling Market with full tummies and big grins, and we’re ready to do it all over again tonight.

We can feel the Springtime goodness already. Gorgeous sunsets, warmer nights, great music, incredible food, more crafty local goodness at the market stalls, after work drinks, the list goes on.

And with Electric Fields kicking off the free entertainment on Friday September 22nd, the Lucky Dumpling Market looks set to become the only place for after work knock offs as we inch closer to Summer.

The Lucky Dumpling Market will continue to host entertainment over its duration, including some of the best local and international bands, plus roving performances, DJs and community activations.

Open Thursday 21st September – Sunday 8th October, from 5pm – late Monday – Friday, and midday – late on weekends. Open daily except Monday 25th September.
