Iconic blue boxes and sparkling diamonds have arrived in Adelaide this week as one of the world’s most famous jewellery designers, Tiffany & Co. opens its brand new Burnside Village store – and it’s even more glamorous than you can imagine.
Inspired by Tiffany’s legendary Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, the Burnside boutique aspires to be more than just a store – it’s an experience. Its facade is a total showstopper, covering over 400 square metres and rising 15 metres high. The design is the largest of its kind in South Asia Pacific, and features a shimmering ceramic installation that pays homage to Favrile glass, an innovation by Louis Comfort Tiffany, the House’s first Art Director, back in the late 1800s. The kaleidoscope of colour is the backdrop to intricate mosaic birds, inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s iconic ‘Bird on a Rock’ brooch, which has been captivating jewellery lovers since 1965.
When you step inside, you’re instantly swept into a world of timeless glamour. The interiors are heritage-inspired and strike the perfect balance between art and craft. There are artisan-plastered walls, champagne gold leaf ceilings, and bespoke furniture upholstered in handwoven fabrics. Two crystal chandeliers illuminate the space, highlighting the sparkling Tiffany diamonds and fine jewellery.
In the store, you’ll be able to find Tiffany & Co.’s most sought-after collections, including HardWear, Lock, T, and Knot. For those ready to pop the question, the ‘All About Love’ brings the romance. Engagement rings shine against ivory and silver walls reminiscent of a wedding gown, and the diamond-inspired vitrine captures Tiffany’s refined, modern aesthetic.
The pièce de résistance may just be the private salon. Designed for intimate shopping, the space is adorned with delicate white orchid wallpaper, handmade furniture, and custom carpets. Every detail is all things elegance, and a nod to Tiffany’s legacy of exceptional craftsmanship and artistry.
At the Burnside Village store, you’ll be able to find more beyond jewellery. With Home and Accessories, like sunglasses, perfumes and more, Adelaide shoppers have plenty to explore. This is a significant moment for the city too, as the new opening marks Tiffany & Co.’s tenth location in Australia.
