Second release almost gone! Electric Island to bring Ibiza-style EDM festival to Glenelg beach

Adelaide’s coastline will welcome an international wave of electronic music as Glenelg Beach hosts Electric Island on April 12, promising a brand new festival experience to rival the beach party scenes reminiscent of Ibiza and Bali.

With second-release tickets selling fast and almost sold out, don’t miss this one-date-only festival featuring an unforgettable lineup.

Picture it… golden hour, the ocean breeze, and a beach packed with people dancing as the sun goes down. This is what festival dreams are made of.

Beach party vibes as the sun dips below the horizon

Electric Island is the creation of T1000 Events and the promoter and crew have secured two of the biggest names in electronic music to lead its inaugural Adelaide event.

“We can’t wait to bring the excitement and energy of Electric Island to iconic Glenelg Beach with a line-up of superstar international DJs,” said Damian Gelle T1000 Events Promoter.

Headliners Duke Dumont from the UK and Australia’s own Hayden James

Leading the charge is Duke Dumont, the British producer behind massive hits like Ocean Drive and I Got U. His deep-house sound, soaring melodies, and infectious beats have filled dance floors around the world, and now he’s bringing that same energetic vibe to Glenelg. Expect a set packed with festival anthems, epic drops, and plenty of crowd-lifting moments.

Also hitting the stage is Hayden James, one of Australia’s biggest electronic artists. His tracks — Just FriendsSomething About You, and Numb — have become the ultimate summer soundtracks, and his signature smooth, sun-soaked beats are made for a beach party. He’ll also be showcasing tracks from his 2024 album, We Could Be Love, making this a set you won’t want to miss.

Switzerland’s Nora En Pure and London-based DJ duo Eli & Fur

Beyond Dumont and James, Electric Island has assembled a handpicked selection of global and local talent, ensuring the festival energy never dips.

Nora En Pure, Switzerland’s deep-house queen, will use her ethereal, melodic and nature-infused sound that has cemented her as a festival staple worldwide.

London-based DJ duo Eli & Fur will deliver their progressive house and deep techno influence to bring a mesmerising, atmospheric energy to the stage.

UK’s Trilucid and Adelaide’s own DJ Souli

Trilucid will conduct a masterclass in layered, transcendent cinematic soundscapes.

One of Adelaide’s rising stars, DJ Souli will warm up the decks with a his mix of cutting-edge beats and dance floor favourites.

With this impressive lineup, stunning beachfront setting, and an atmosphere like some of the world’s most famous coastal festivals, Electric Island’s debut at Glenelg Beach will be a must-attend event for EDM music lovers.

T1000 Events continues to shape Australia’s electronic music scene by creating unforgettable moments and delivering high-quality festival experiences. Promoter Damian Gelle is thrilled to bring the latest T1000 offshoot to Adelaide for the first time.

“For those in the know, T1000 might be new to staging a festival in Adelaide, but our pedigree is phenomenal. We’ve been part of the electronic music scene since a humble backyard party in London in 2001,” added Damian.

“What began as a gathering of a few hundred Australian expatriates and friends evolved into HEATUK, hosting events at iconic London venues such as The Rock, Turnmills, The Fridge, The Cross, Pacha, and Camden Palace.”

“This journey led to the creation of the South West Four (SW4) Festival in 2004, which ran for 16 years and featured top-tier electronic artists like Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, and Eric Prydz.”

After relocating to Sydney, Australia, T1000 Events continued its legacy by launching Electric Gardens Festival in 2016, featuring global icons like Fatboy Slim and Sasha across multiple stages in Sydney’s Centennial Parklands.

“Since Covid, our focus has been on delivering smaller, more boutique festival experiences that still have the spirit, camaraderie, and fun of a giant friendly backyard party.”

Just like the two decades of dance parties before it, Electric Island Adelaide will be a true celebration of music, community, and culture.
