The first stop for fine wine in Adelaide, East End Cellars have been hosting ‘Wine Dinners’ where they pair wines from one label with an incredible food menu.
Their next instalment in this series is already shaping up to be one not to be missed.
Yetti and the Kokonut will be the featured wine label for the latest ‘Wine Dinner’ and not only do they have a great name but their wines are renowned around the world.
They’re described as “quirky wines’ and have taken the natural wine world by storm.
Natural wines essentially mean it’s wine made without pesticides, chemicals and other additives, it also supposedly makes for less of a hangover but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
Yetti and the Kokonut is the brainchild of David Geyer and Koen Janssens who started producing the wines in 2015 and now they can be found on the wine list of the world’s most prestigious restaurants, including Noma in Copenhagen.
During this gastronomic degustation you will taste wines from varying vintages paired with a five-course dining experience created by East End Cellars esteemed chef Josh Lansley.
Josh has put an elegant menu together.
The first course is Chopped Beef rump, rose water freekeh, Syrian chutney, mint, rhubarb, sumac, paired with Gewurztraminer on Skins 2017 and 2019.
Second course is Hogget ‘cannelloni’, mint, salt baked apple, and that is paired with Brose 2017 and 2019.
