In collaboration with Australia’s most historic family owned winery, Yalumba Wines, and as a part of SA’s Tasting Australia Winter Series, Oval Hotel’s prestigious Five Regions Restaurant is celebrating the best of the Barossa in a five course degustation on Thursday 22 July.
With breathtaking views of the oval and its hallowed turf, the latest instalment in Five Regions Restaurants seasonal collaboration is perfectly curated to pair with Yalumba’s finest offerings.
The event will allow you to indulge in the best of the Barossa, where you can expect deep, dark winter flavours paired with some of South Australia’s most famous exports, including Yalumba’s Signature blend, Paradox Shiraz, Octavius Shiraz and more.
Think rich, decadent flavours with offerings such as red gum smoked duck pastrami with crabapple, barbecue oyster with tomato essence and also dumplings, paired with Samuel Collection Eden Valley Viognier 2018.
Yalumba’s own Brand Manager Jessica Hill-Smith will also be in attendance, and will share with guests the secrets and stories of the esteemed winery’s 170-year history.
The Oval Hotel’s Daniel Simpson will present each course of the degustation while divulging the inspiration of the local producers, and the tales behind each mouth-watering dish.
Oval Hotel’s premiere dining destination, Five Regions Restaurant, opened on 22 September 2020, and has allowed SA’s leading wineries the chance to present the best of their region through a seasonal, regionally-inspired menu.
