Experience the magic of the iconic Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks in a modern era, when tribute band Bella Donna hits the stage this October.
Bella Donna will perform their first show at Willunga Festival Hall and lead vocalist Juliet Oliver, who performs as Stevie, says the band encapsulates the music, magic and nostalgia of the 70s and 80s.
“I think the music from Stevie and the band is just timeless, the songs are relatable to people of all ages and all demographics even today. Because of that, it is such an awesome concept to be able to recreate it because you get people all the way from the teenagers now to teenagers back in those decades sharing that love for the songs and the timeless music they recorded,” Juliet says.
“I think we have seen a real resurgence over the last few years whether it be TikTok or on the radio with younger artists releasing versions of Fleetwood Mac songs. It doesn’t matter if it was from years ago, the lyrics still connect people and I think that combined with Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks are unique in the fact that it isn’t just a sit down performance, people love to dance.”
“We are not the type of band that you just sit in your seat and watch intently, we want people up and dancing. We are all young and have a love for this music in particular, we really want to showcase not just a specific album or era, we want to showcase the songs, stories and rumours from the whole career that was Stevie and Fleetwood Mac, it is a real tribute to the story overall.”
“We want to celebrate how fun and amazing that era was. We can love the music, but I think what people also love is the stories behind it and the relationships intertwined within that. It is about showcasing those lyrics that still ring true and relatable today and combining them with a super fun performance.”
The band of talented young Adelaide musos share a passion for music of the 70s and 80s and Juliet promises they will deliver an unforgettable performance of Stevie and Fleetwood Mac’s iconic hits, including ‘Rhiannon,’ ‘Landslide,’ ‘Edge of Seventeen,’ and many more.
“I think it is all about connecting with a group of people of all ages and demographics that love the same music and it is celebrating those decades and bringing back the nostalgia,” Juliet says.
“It is not just a sit down tribute theatre show it is a show that is really performative and involves the audience and we want it to be like a 1970s high school dance party. It is a bit wild and it is a fun, entertaining night.”
Concert goers are encouraged to don their best 70s, 80s or Fleetwood Mac attire, with a prize for best dressed.
A fully licensed bar will provide a broad selection of drinks and Spice Pod will be serving Mexican cuisine, available for pre-purchase or throughout the evening.
