Calling all craft beer lovers! The Fleurieu Beer Festival is back, so it’s time to slip, slop and slap a crisp cold beer into your hand this summer. So pack your picnic blanket and your esky, it’s time to head out South to taste the best crafts, stouts and larger SA has to offer.
Kicking off January 22, the heart of Willunga is transforming into a brew lover’s playground, with plenty of activities jam-packed into the sunny Saturday afternoon. Meet the brewer and treat yourself to a smoky barbecue meal or snack from the fantastic local food stalls. There’ll be live music, market stalls and plenty of pints to enjoy, inviting you to immerse yourself in the brewing, distilling and winemaking world that the Fleurieu is known for.
Slinging pints on the day will be Willunga locals Shifty Lizard Brewing Co. and South Coast Brewing Co., as well as Swell Brewing, Mephisto Brewing and Aldinga newcomers Kick Back Brewing.
And no need to stress if you aren’t a fan of the froth! Plenty of vendors will be pouring fizzy ciders and tipples of fine wine on the afternoon as well.
Best of all, you won’t have to take the fall of being the designated driver, with the festival letting guests pitch their own swags on the Willunga Recreation Park oval.
Tickets to the event cost $25, which include entry to the brewing festival and a non-shattering pint keep cup for you to fill with all the fruity hop and craft goodness.
The Fleurieu Beer Festival is the best way to taste your way through the best of what the peninsula has to offer this summer.
