Flights to Fiji on sale now, for your long-awaited overseas holiday!

Virgin Australia has announced it intends to resume overseas flights once our borders reopen, and has backed it up by putting flights to Fiji back on sale.

It’s been a long time coming, but with news like this you can finally start to taste that much-needed overseas trip. Virgin Australia has announced it intends to resume overseas flights once our borders reopen, and has backed it up by putting flights to Fiji back on sale.

The airline’s website has listed daily flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Fiji to take-off as early as the New Year, with flights scheduled to leave Adelaide around this time next year.

The announcement from Virgin reinstates their promise that “short-haul international” services such as the Pacific Islands would resume as “soon as the borders open.”

For the last year and-a-half, the airline has serviced domestic flights only, but has maintained its intention to cross-borders again once restrictions ease.

Fares start from as low as $334 if you don’t intend to exceed more than a carry-on bag, but with the warmer weather at reach, packing light should be a breeze.

In pre-pandemic times, Aussies counted for fifty-percent of Fiji’s tourism industry, so its no wonder they’re keen to get us back over to their island paradise.

Fijians have seen a surge back into domestic tourism, with nearly 70% of the population vaccinated for Covid and able to gain employment. With all things on the rise, it hopes to bring back its loyal Aussie following to its island nation, and we sure can’t wait to get over there!

With tropical warm weather all year round, Fiji’s blue-sky days have long been an attraction for surfers, divers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. But who needs an activity as a reason to go on holiday? An escape to paradise has been long-awaited for so many Aussies, that these flights are sure to sell out fast!
