As South Australians continue nesting, and making their homes the perfect place to work from home, enjoy downtime, or ensure it’s a fabulous place should we need to isolate at any stage in the future, buying homewares has never been more popular.
There’s plenty of great options around Adelaide, and online, to shop for things to brighten up your house, but there are only a handful that support Australian labels, and South Australian small businesses.
Flourish Gift and Home are one such company, focused on showcasing the incredible talents of Aussie homeware labels, artists, fashion labels, skincare and bathroom product businesses, linen companies and more.
Their stores are also destinations, full of carefully sourced pieces from afar, and are filled to the brim, and overflowing with unique, beautiful, essential, ethical and one of a kind pieces that tell a tale and takes you on a journey.
With beautiful established boutiques in Hyde Park and Stepney, now those in the West can finally enjoy the range of Flourish homewares and gifts, with a brand new store opening in Grange.
Located at the end of Grange road, right before Military Road, the new shop has taken over old heritage house, with beautiful homewares filling the rooms and hallways. It’s full of surprises at every turn.
Outside, a colourful mural by local artists Jack Fran and Sam Brooks, gives you a taste of what’s inside, with large geometric shapes mimicking designs you may see reflected on lamps, linen and artwork within the store.
Inside the store, brands like Sage and Clare, Nancybird, Denz, Ruby Star, & Glasshouse Fragrances sit alongside work from artists like Adelaide’s Billie Justice Thomson (who now has a fabulous oversized magnet range) and more.
The team at Flourish source all things of beauty, newly created and preloved objects, tantalising textiles that share the heart and history of the artists and makers from around the world.
Bursting with colour and texture, the huge assortment of products will suck you in and keep you browsing for far longer than intended, but much like perusing an art gallery, there’s almost as much joy in immersing yourself in their collections, as there is in purchasing.
While you can certainly shop the wonderful ranges of products that Flourish offer online, there’s nothing quite like stepping inside one of their shops… but we warn you. It’s difficult to leave empty handed!
You can visit the new Flourish Gift and Home shop in Grange at 675 Grange Road.
