Flying High at the Big Day Out 2011

MOTOROLA is turning up the fun this summer, at the nation’s biggest music festival, Big Day Out.  Following its recent launch of the festival-proof Motorola DEFY™ smartphone, Motorola will be adding a new dimension to the Australia wide event. In honour of their new addition, adrenaline junkies will dig the eye popping DEFYaBALL stunts. And for those wishing to recharge between bands the Recharge & Chillout Tents alongside the towers of power will be the place to hang and rehydrate.

Turning up the heat in the Boiler Room, Motorola’s stuntman, Danny, takes crowd surfing to a new level. Housed within the tough exterior of the human sized DEFYaBALL, Danny will physically roll from the stage, rubbing shoulders with a sea of screaming fans. Protected only by the human size bubble, Danny and his DEFYaBaLL bring a whole new meaning to audience participation.

Defy the heat at the Recharge & Chillout Tents alongside the towers of power, the place to recharge the body, mind and most importantly… the phone! Festival-goers can escape the heat and rest their legs in a shady sit- down area. There will be lots of giveaways and free ice cream. The tents will also feature facilities to recharge an assortment of popular mobile phones. Telstra are up lifting the Telstra Next G Network at all festival Locations, so towers of power will ensure Telstra customers stay connected throughout the day.  At sundown these towers will beam laser lights around the festival grounds. Towers of Power are at all Big Day Out events in Australia, and are the ideal place to hook up with friends.

To enjoy the spectacle, check the Big Day Out map in your city for locations.  For the full band and activity line-up, be sure to download the Big Day Out app.
