For months, everyone has been wondering what’s going on at 162B King William Road. Amongst the veil of drop sheets and newspapered windows something delicious was brewing… We recently introduced you to a new Italian eatery in our story here. And last night we finally got a taste of Godi La Vita, the newest resident on King William Road.
Godi la Vita is stylish in an understated way. The space is elegant, simple and tasteful and there is a European influence throughout. With repurposed furniture, woven light shades, greenery all around and the perfect balance of light and moody, it’s a place that in which we felt instantly at home.
We felt even more at home when we spotted the table full (and we mean full) of amazing cheese from another King William Road resident, Bottega Rotolo. We also dabbled in the other food options which included everything from stuffed zucchini, meatballs, bacon wrapped scallops, crumbed mussels, lamb and mint skewers and crispy tortellini with mushroom. The perfect taster to the full menu that these guys serve (which we will definitely be heading back for)!
Setting themselves apart from the others, they are offering sit down breakfast, lunch and dinner and a whole host of on-the-run options for those that don’t have time. Let’s not forget the coffee and of course wine, which Godi La Vita know better than most. Not only do they have an impressive international and local wine list, they are also the first restaurant in Australia to make their own house label. We tried the sparkling and 2013 Godi La Vita Shiraz last night and it seems Federico and Laurie can’t put a foot wrong!
