Showcase SA is hosting an exclusive lunch this April in celebration of the 2025 AFL Gather Round, giving footy fans and business professionals the chance to connect, network, and come together over SA’s booming footy culture. As part of the larger ‘Festival of Footy,’ this event will feature a lineup of AFL legends and experts who will share the inside scoop into the world of Australian Rules Football.
Held at the Hilton Adelaide on Friday April 11th, the lunch will kick off Gather Round, with an all-star panel of AFL stars, including Port Adelaide legend Tom Jonas, AFLW icon Erin Phillips, former AFL ruckman Matthew Clarke, and rising star Caitlin Gould from the Adelaide Crows. The lunch will be expertly hosted by the legendary Mark Bickley.
A veteran of the Port Adelaide Football Club, Tom Jonas brings a wealth of experience to the table. The former captain, who played 216 games for the club and earned multiple All-Australian nominations, will share insights from his decorated career. Since retiring, Tom has kept busy, starting his own wine label and working in leadership consultancy.
Joining the panel is Erin Phillips OAM, a true leader in women’s sport. As a former Olympian and three-time AFLW Premiership player, Erin has helped shape the AFLW and has inspired future generations of female athletes, with an incredible career on and off the field.
Matthew Clarke, a respected figure in the AFL, will also share his expertise at the lunch. He is known for his skill in the ruck and played for several clubs, including the Brisbane Bears, Adelaide Crows, and St Kilda. Now, as the head coach of the Adelaide AFLW team, Clarke has led the team to two premierships, making him one of the greats in the game.
Plus, a rising star with the Adelaide Crows, Caitlin Gould, will bring fresh insights to the conversation. A key player in the Crows’ Season Six premiership win, Caitlin is known for her strong, versatile, and aggressive style of play, making her one of the most exciting players in the game.
Tickets to the Gather Round Lunch include a two-course lunch and a three-hour beverage package. Unlike many other events, this lunch isn’t limited to Showcase SA members, meaning anyone with a love for footy can be part of it. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other fans, network business leaders, and meet some of the biggest names in the game.
Individual tickets are priced at $180 (+gst), while a table of 10 can be purchased for $1,800 (+gst). VIP tickets are available for $230 (+gst) and come with priority seating and a 30-minute networking session with speakers, sponsors, and other VIP guests before the event kicks off. Showcase SA Gold and Platinum Members will automatically receive the VIP upgrade.
