Former Fleetwood Mac band manager teams up with local SA cover band

SA band, the Hindley Street Country Club, has transformed its passion project into a dream result, with a new manager and record deal.

From a local cover band to a YouTube viral sensation, to a band with a record deal and an internationally recognised manager – the Hindley Street Country Club is the feel good success story we’ve been waiting for.

The dynamic Adelaide-based 12-piece ensemble first emerged in 2017 as a passion project, posting re-imagined covers on YouTube every Friday at 5pm.

Taking on the greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, the Hindley Street Country Club (HSCC) has recorded interpretations of iconic anthems and heart-wrenching ballads live from start to finish.

Thanks to the global phenomenon that is COVID-19, the band exploded on the online music scene, accumulating more than 296 million views and 647,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Now, HSCC is preparing to be catapulted into stardom, with the help of their new celebrity band manager, Dennis Dunstan.

For more than 43 years, Dennis has worked with some of the greatest bands in the world, including Fleetwood Mac, Air Supply, and Men at Work.

“I’m excited to say that I’m proud to be involved and associated with the Hindley Street Country Club,” says Dennis online.

“I can confirm, as of today, Hindley Street Country Club has been signed to Renaissance Records in America and [will be] distributed by AMPED, which is the biggest independent distributor in America and the gateway into the American market.”

Renaissance Records is an Arizona-based record label that specialises in the re-release of classic rock, country, and indie music, representing the likes of Shania Twain, Daryl Hall & John Oates, and Electric Light Orchestra Part II.

Mr Dunstan continues to share that HSCC will be distributing vinyls, CDs, and digital music across America via Amazon and Wallmart.

“[HSCC] will be in every state in America and this is the precursor to the band also being signed to a major touring agency, which I can now also release is happening,” he says.

“Hindley Street is coming to America, and then after America we’re coming to Europe and the rest of the world. I believe they can do it and I’m excited for them and I’m excited for what’s to come.”
