It’s all part of a winter refresh at ela, the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant inside Hotel Alba on South Terrace. As the nights cool down, Head Chef Ashleigh Linder has crafted a rich new menu that leans into bold flavours and seasonal produce with signature style.

“Ashleigh has amazing ideas that translate to memorable dining experiences in our intimate location,” she adds.
The new winter menu is rich with dishes designed for sharing, savouring and revisiting. Think crispy fritto misto, silky spinach and ricotta cannelloni, slow-braised Moroccan lamb shank and a hearty BBQ chicken cacciatore that’s perfect for pairing with a bold red.
For those who believe pasta is a love language, Thursdays are where it’s at. Each week from 5:30pm, guests can enjoy ela’s Pasta and Wine night, with four rotating pasta dishes to choose from, plus a glass of wine or tap beer, all for $30. Whether it’s linguine, spaghetti or tagliatelle on the table, the vibe is relaxed and deliciously satisfying.
To top it off, ela is showing some serious local love. Every Wednesday, diners living in postcode 5000 can enjoy 20% off their dinner bill, making midweek indulgence even more appealing.
