Something exciting is happening in McLaren Flat.
CABN are gearing up to expand their footprint at the picturesque Gemtree Wines. If approved, four new CABNs, embodying simplicity and sustainability, will soon nestle amidst the vineyards, offering a refreshing retreat for those looking to escape the daily grind.
Imagine a future where your getaway begins with a morning greeted by the whispers of eucalyptus leaves and a panoramic view of the Adelaide Plains. The proposed CABNs, designed to meld seamlessly with the natural surroundings, are a nod to CABN’s dedication to sustainable and innovative accommodation solutions.
Three of these units are planned to be trailer-based, offering the flexibility of mobility, while the fourth is set to be a semi-permanent fixture, grounded firmly yet eco-friendly, ensuring minimal impact on the pristine land.
These cabins, though compact with dimensions ranging between 6.2 to 6.5 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width, are crafted to offer a spacious retreat. The external facade, with a blend of dark brown and light grey hues, promises to complement the natural earthen tones of the landscape, making for a subtle yet charming addition to the region.
Each cabin is expected to be equipped with modern, solar-powered amenities and a comprehensive wastewater management system, promising a comfortable and eco-conscious stay. Moreover, guests can anticipate indulging in fresh, organic, locally produced food.
Set to be strategically placed at two separate sites on the expansive 80.3-hectare land, these cabins aim to offer both privacy and a serene connection with nature.
As CABN awaits the green light to bring this vision to life, the vibrant experiences of South Australia’s wine regions remain at the forefront. From the sought-after CABN locations at Kuitpo Forest to the breathtaking vistas at Cape St Albans on Kangaroo Island, a plethora of experiences await exploration.
Inspired by Michael Lamprell’s personal journey towards a simpler, more authentic lifestyle, CABN aims to create spaces where individuals can reconnect with nature and each other, fostering a community that values sustainable living without forgoing comfort and luxury.
