Four new COVID-19 cases recorded in SA, all reported from a medi-hotel

All four people acquired their infections overseas and have been in a medi-hotel since their arrival.

There have been four new cases of COVID-19 today, all reported from a medi-hotel.

There have been a total of 601 cases notified in South Australia.

Today’s cases include three members of a family; a man in his 50s, a women in her 20s and a teenager as well as an unrelated man in his 40s.

All four people acquired their infections overseas and have been in a medi-hotel since their arrival.

This brings South Australia’s number of active COVID-19 cases to five, all acquired overseas.

All South Australians who have symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested on the day symptoms appear.

Symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
  • An acute respiratory infection e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
  • Loss of smell or alteration in the sense of taste
  • Diarrhoea and vomiting
