Footy fans, listen up! This May, there’s a massive day out incoming, as a full SANFLW quadruple header is taking over Coopers Stadium (Norwood) as part of the league’s new-look Energised Rounds.
That’s right! All four Round 3 clashes will be back-to-back on Saturday, May 2nd, with the action kicking off from 10:30am and rolling right through to the early evening. On the lineup is Central District vs Woodville-West Torrens, North Adelaide vs South Adelaide, West Adelaide vs Sturt, and Norwood vs Glenelg, all on the one ground, all for just $10 entry.
The jam-packed day is part of SANFLW’s new SAPN Energised Rounds, introduced in 2026 to bring a festival-style feel to the competition. Across six rounds this season, clubs will host full-day fixtures designed to celebrate the game, the players, and the growing community around women’s football.
Fans heading to Coopers Stadium this weekend are in for an action‑packed match‑day experience, with 23rd Street bean bags and umbrellas transforming Aish Hill into the ultimate hang‑out zone. There will be a DJ to keep the energy high, alongside opportunities to win a SANFLW Grand Final prize package, ‘Energised Goal’ moments featuring SANFLW ticket giveaways, and an Energised Zone loaded with fun activities including team face paints, colouring wall and make your own fan banners.
There will be food and beverage offerings cater to every taste – from coffee, cocktail slushies, wine tastings and beer flights for adults, to Marcellina pizzas, plus the usual canteen and bar favourites.

“The SAPN Energised Rounds are about creating a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere that showcases the very best of SANFLW football while bringing communities together,” said SANFL Head of Events and Game Day Experience Sarah Williams.
In its 10th year, the Hostplus SANFLW league is continuing to hit new milestones, with players like South Adelaide’s Jaslynne Smith and Woodville-West Torrens’ Leah Cutting reaching the 100-game mark, a testament to the longevity of the competition as it continues to grow.
“This initiative allows us to celebrate the growth of women’s football and deliver a unique match-day experience that energises players, clubs and fans alike,” said Sarah. “We’re building something that not only celebrates the growth of SANFLW but also inspires the next generation of players.”
Each Energised Round will have its own style, with host clubs bringing music, entertainment and family-friendly activations to create a day-long festival-style experience alongside the fantastic footy. While Coopers Stadium sets the tone in Round 3, more of these match days are locked in across the season at venues including X Convenience Oval (Saturday, May 9 at Elizabeth), Thomas Farms Oval (Saturday, May 30 at Unley), Revo Fitness Oval (Saturday, June 20 at Prospect), Stratarama Stadium (Saturday, July 4 at Glenelg) and Richmond Oval (Saturday, July 25 at Richmond).
So, whether you’re a long-time SANFLW supporter or just keen for an easy, affordable day out, the Coopers Stadium quadruple header is looking to be one of the most accessible and energetic ways to experience local sport this season.
With four games, one ticket, and a full day of footy, it’s a clear sign that SANFLW is not just growing but truly thriving in South Australia.
