Bring Fourth the gin!

Much-loved Jetty Road restaurant and bar Fourth. has teamed up with Adelaide Hills Distillery for a night filled with gin, fun, seaside Glenelg vibes, and a three-course meal.

The ticketed event will feature a tasting of four of the SA distillery’s premium gins paired with a three-course meal of the chef’s selection. The gins will also be served with Fever Tree mixers.

The first course will be an appetizer of three different vol-au-vent puff pastries, including  mushroom and lemon creamed cheese, smokes salmon, and brie, cranberry, and pistachio. The second course will be beef tartar with capers, shiitake mushrooms, and sourdough, and the final course will be a beautiful preserved lemon barramundi with asparagus, broccoli and fennel.

While it’s officially a three-course degustation, it’s basically four courses with the gin!

“We chose not to do a dessert because you can basically just finish you night with gin,” owner Henry Papapolis says.

The May 26th event will also have prize giveaways, as if the degustation and booze weren’t enough.

If you haven’t checked out Fourth., it’s a Glenelg must-see. The bar and restaurant’s main focus is on nighttime trade, offering fresh cocktails, a boutique wine list from all parts of the world, craft beers and extensive range of whiskey and gin. For this event, though, it’s all about the Adelaide Hills Distillery gin.

Fourth.’s food menu is all designed around social eating, based largely around share plates and friends. This mentality is sure to enhance the upcoming degustation.

Going forward, the popular Jetty Road destination is looking forward to doing more paired meals, with the upcoming May 26 event being their third.
