Frank&lola Launches First Pop Up Shop With Renew Adelaide

“This is the perfect opportunity to test the waters in the local fashion scene during Adelaide’s busiest times of year,” says Brandon.

frank andlolaclothesEmerging fashion label Frank&lola, created by Adelaide-based designer Melanie Brandon, will exclusively launch its first store on Thursday 13 February on Rundle Street with the support of urban renewal project Renew Adelaide.

Frank&lola’s latest collection will be available for sale during the launch, and will be open to the public the following day.

The partnership with Renew Adelaide has come at a perfect time for the brand, which has mainly featured at fashion markets such as Bowerbird Bazaar and Gilles Street, as well as online.

“This is the perfect opportunity to test the waters in the local fashion scene during Adelaide’s busiest times of year,” says Brandon. “I am so excited about being given the opportunity to have retail space in Adelaide’s fashion precinct for free. Renew Adelaide is a fabulous initiative for small boutique business owners like myself.”

Local Adelaide girl Melanie designed the unique range while living and working in Bali, Indonesia, and incorporates her years of living in London and Australia into the season’s aesthetic.

The latest collection was inspired by travelling to warm places and chasing the sun. The designs are flowing and fun, and feature an eclectic mix of florals, on-trend tropical prints and polka dots – making them the ideal outfit of choice for summery nights and poolside parties.

Renew Adelaide is a non-profit project that works to revitalise under-used and empty buildings and shop fronts with projects of benefit to the community. It provides short term, non-commercial arrangements to keep empty spaces active.
