Understood to be the anniversary of Europe’s intro to chocolate, Thursday 7 July marks World Chocolate Day. To celebrate, stores throughout Adelaide Airport will have special offers for a week of indulgence.
On Thursday 7 July, Southern Providore at Adelaide Airport will be hosting free chocolate tastings to make your travels a treat.
Southern Providore, a store that showcases all things South Australian, will be welcoming a Bracegirdles chocolatier to the store, so you’ll not only be able to taste some decadent chocolate, but meet the maker as well.
Originating as one of Adelaide’s first dessert bars in 2005, Bracegirdles has become Australia’s most awarded chocolate company, producing ethically-made chocolate that is both palm oil free and gluten free.
Ambra Spirits will also be hosting indulgent free tastings of its Cherry Choc Liqueur on Thursday 7 July to mark the special day.
For a quick chocolate fix and delicious bite before your flight, wrap your hands around a Pain au Chocolate and regular coffee for $8.95 or a chocolate brownie and regular coffee for $7.95 (available from Southern Providore 1st – 7th of July).
After exploring the wonders of South Australian chocolate at Southern Providore, take a journey to WHSmith where chocolate lovers will be able to buy their favourite chocolate from around the world, with chocolates from Britain, Europe, America and Australia.
Or simply spoil yourself with other chocolate delights, including chocolate muffins, double hot chocolates, chocolate-flavoured smoothies, chocolate biscuits and delicious chocolate glazed doughnuts at various locations across the airport, including Muffin Break, The Pantry, Soho, Krispy Kreme and Soul Origin.
