The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) has announced they are hosting an epic free musical program this November, perfect for Adelaide families looking for some fun this summertime.
Held over two consecutive weekends 27–28 November and 4–5 December at Adelaide Showground, the ASO’s FREE Family Fun days are packed with a fun line-up of musical entertainment suitable for all ages and abilities.
The program has been released, and there is sure to be a whole lot of free musical fun outdoors. The ASO has put together a program of musical entertainment suitable that will have attendees up and grooving to the beat from big band, the mambo and cha-cha, as well as the classic to contemporary orchestral music the ASO is known and most loved for.
Free Family Fun at the Festival of Orchestra (FOFO) will have something for everyone young and old! Each day there will be a variety of performances from a wide range of community groups and ASO performers, interactive workshops that will introduce children and adults alike to a wide range of musical styles, food from a fantastic selection of pop up food trucks, roving balloon makers, stilt walkers and marching bands to keep the kids entertained all day, and a sound and sensory-friendly break-out tent to ensure the day is a safe and inclusive day for everyone.
ASO’s Free Family Fun event is a free event for all; however, workshops require a ticket and can be booked here.
Festival of Orchestra, which will sit as the centrepiece of its July – December season later this year.
A magical series of six concerts spread across ten nights, Festival-goers will be able to enjoy a collection of Australia’s most talented classical musicians for a program under the stars from the 26 November to 4 December, at the Adelaide Showground.
