On Sunday, September 3rd, the team at Simon Tolley Wines invites everyone to come along to their first-ever Father’s Day sausage sizzle event, happening from 11 am-5 pm at their picturesque cellar door in the Adelaide Hills.
Cellar door manager, Malou, is excited to be hosting this event, celebrating Dads of all kinds with their favourite Aussie pastime, a sizzling barbeque. ‘It’s a great opportunity to come down and enjoy this beautiful location, and what better way than with a barbeque!’, says Malou. ‘It’s going to be a great day for the whole family to get together and celebrate the father figures in their lives—bring the dog too, everyone is welcome.’
Whether your Dad is a carnivore or veggie lover, there’ll be an array of options on offer for everyone to enjoy. ‘We’ll have the barbeque firing, serving up gourmet hot dogs with all the toppings—cheese, onions, sauerkraut, bacon bits, fried shallots and various sauces—plus delicious jaffles and local produce platters that cater to all dietary requirements too,’ says Malou.
And with the arrival of Spring, it’s the perfect opportunity to crack open a bottle of Simon Tolley’s famous Pinot. ‘Pinot is definitely one of the favourites here at our cellar door,’ says Malou, ‘but we’ll have a range of wines on offer starting from $25 and a selection of local non-alcoholic options too.’
And if the weather is on their side, the team at Simon Tolley Wines are adding to the cosy vibes of this intimate cellar door event with fire pits, picnic blankets, and a bunch of popular lawn games, like corn hole and ring toss, to get everyone up and experiencing the fun of the afternoon.
‘We want families of all shapes and sizes to come and enjoy our Father’s Day Sausage Sizzle,’ says Malou. ‘We’re a proud family business—Simon and his wife Narelle, along with our small team, really understand the importance of family, and although it’s an intimate event, it’s also a very inclusive environment, open to everyone.’
