G & T lovers rejoice!
Bowden hospitality hub Plant 4 is offering free tastings of Portofino gin and LLANLLYR tonic this Sunday, February 28th with the team from Adelaide’s own Awesome Food Company.
Alongside gin and tonic tastings, guests can enjoy free tastings of Rio Vista olive oil and a variety of Italian wines from SA Winery Lou Miranda Estate from 12pm – 7pm.
As if the tastings aren’t enough, the event also includes various free cooking demonstrations all afternoon. From 1 – 2pm, Kris Lloyd from Woodside Cheese will do a cheese demo, 3 – 4pm will be a gnocchi demo by Sarah from Francesco’s Cicchetti, and Marie from DFDesserts will make cannolis from 5 – 6pm. The event ends at 10pm.
The event welcomes the gin brand, which is made in an antique Italian distillery, to Plant 4. The spirit has flavours and aromas of lavender, sage, juniper, lemon, rosemary, marjoram, roses and iris, handpicked in Portofino, Italy.
“Since we’ve all been deprived of international travel, we’ve decided to bring a taste of Italy to Plant 4,” the event says.
Plant 4’s eateries will be open as usual during the event, so guests can eat at the cafés and food stalls, which include fan favourites My Grandma Ben, Joe Dumpling and Blood Burgers. There’s also a Kidzone to entertain the children, and the Plant 4 Bar will be serving its usual offers of SA wines and spirits.
All of the gin, tonic, olive oil, and wines will be available to purchase at the event.
