This is not a drill! Cesar’s Pizzeria will be giving away free large pizzas on Monday, October 11.
With every $5 donated to the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS), pizza lovers will be treated to a pizza of their choice from a limited menu. This means $5 for one large pizza, $10 for two, $15 for three…I think you get the picture.
All proceeds will go towards Happy Valley and Cherry Gardens CFS with CFS crew and trucks making an appearance on the night.
The limited pizza menu will include supreme, ham and pineapple, meat lovers, pepperoni, Margherita, and chicken and pineapple. Owner Cesar Coelho says they will do their best to cater to a range of requirements, but this depends on ingredient stock for the night.
Through donating, customers at the fundraiser event will also have the chance to win loaded hampers including supplies from Pirate Life Brewing and Bleasdale Vineyards as well as pizza party vouchers.
Cesar says they have decided to run the fundraiser to support firefighters who fought in the devastating bushfire at Cherry Gardens earlier in the year.
During the fires, the pizza bar donated pizzas to firefighters to fuel them through the fires.
Through Cesar’s Pizzeria generosity, Cesar says the locals have been very thankful and supportive of the pizza bar. As a result of community voting, Cesar’s Pizzeria won the best pizza in the south by Nova FM. Cesar says they decided to run the fundraiser to give back to the community for their support.
They are aiming to reach $5000 in funds raised as their target for the night.
“We are getting pumped up for the night,” Cesar says.
“Staff have been great and donated heaps of their time in preparation for the day.”
“Some of their families have been affected by the fire so it’s a cause close to home.”
The Fundraiser event will run from approximately 4pm onwards.
