Travel to each day of the LIV Golf tournament on free public transport as Grange plays host to the premier golfing event of the year from 21-23 April.
More than 42,000 fans are expected to flock to the internationally acclaimed Grange Golf Club for the inaugural three-day tournament.
It has just been announced that fans can look forward to travelling for free and easily all day with a valid event ticket on all regular Adelaide Metro bus, train and tram services.
Dedicated LIV Golf City bus shuttles will also run across the weekend. The city bus shuttles will run between the Adelaide CBD and Grange Golf Club, servicing key bus stops near city hotels between 8:30am and 8pm, after the LIV Golf concert each day.
“April is shaping up to be a bumper month for sporting events in South Australia and with huge crowds expected to gather at the Grange Golf Club, we want to make sure everybody gets there and home again safely and easily,” said Tom Koutsantonis, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.
“Let Adelaide Metro do the hard work – leave your car at home and make the most of our free public transport, including dedicated shuttle services.”
“We want to ensure our interstate visitors and our locals can easily plan their travel so they can focus on the world’s best golf tournament.”
Additionally, a dedicated Park ’n’ Ride shuttle will run from Titanium Stadium, Findon as well as a shuttle service from Woodville Railway Station to Grange Golf Club between 8:30am and 8pm.
“Events like LIV Golf Adelaide are helping to drive around $400 million in economic benefit to the state, and bring a great atmosphere to our city,” said Zoe Bettison, Minister for Tourism.
“By making it easier to get to and from the event, we’re aiming to make the whole experience a stress-free and fun day out.”
Local roads will close at the end of the event each day to allow crowds to safely leave the area, so please be patient and allow extra travel time. Find real-time updates on traffic conditions at Traffic SA.
