Our friend’s over at Fresh 92.7 sure know how to throw a party and that’s exactly what they’re doing for you this Friday!
Throughout the duration of the Fringe Festival, the guys at Fresh have teamed up with iconic Rundle Street cocktail bar, Fumo Blu for weekly parties with a variety of fringe acts, drink specials and the chance to hang out with your favourite local radio hosts.
Fresh Fringe Friday’s @ Fumo Blu (trying saying that five times fast) is gearing up for the final week so if you haven’t been to check it out yet, this is your last chance to get among the action!
The 3-hour event is almost like a little Fringe compilation package but with the convenience of not having to change venues – and they’ve definitely saved the best talent ‘til last.
This week, Fresh’s very own brekky host Lauren ‘Davo’ Davidson will be making her stand-up DEBUT with the opening set. After making a passing comment in the studio about wanting to conquer her fears of the stage by doing a comedy stand-up routine, her lovely co-workers decided there was no time like the present and chucked her on the bill.
She’ll be followed by a mystery comedian who will be revealed on the night and then DJ Isaac will round out the evening with some tunes to get everyone up and dancing.
Fumo Blu has been on the Adelaide nightlife scene since 2000 and has developed quite a name for itself as one of the city’s favourite drinking and dancing venues. Once you’ve walked down the small staircase into the underground lounge, you’re free to make yourself comfortable in one of the booths with a tasty cocktail. Throw in the setup from Fresh 92.7 and you know you’re in for a good night.
It’ll cost you $10 on the door which includes all the entertainment plus cheap drinks at the bar and for an extra $5 you can get yourself a limited edition Fresh 92.7 key ring which will keep those drink specials flowing even once the Fresh team have wrapped up.
