Fringe: 1 Man Debate with Simon Taylor

1 Man DebateAward-winning entertainer Mr Simon Taylor performs “1 Man Debate”, a brand new comedy show that redefines manhood.

See why boys don’t want to grow up, what happened to real men in society and the 10 reasons why men are now replaceable.

Come to The Delux in The Garden of Unearthly Delights and witness the new dawn of man.

While on a short tour of the stand-up comedy circle in Los Angeles, Simon scored a ticket to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno – a day later, he was hired to write for the show.

Now as a world-class comedian, Simon’s new show applies his wit and charm to society’s most pressing question: what the hell is going on with men?

Drawing on arguments that span from academic to pub rant, Simon pulls manhood apart in a comedy debate against himself.

This show will challenge how you see manhood, and tell you why it needs fixing.

Simon Taylor is a comedy machine. He’s had sell-out shows at Melbourne Fringe, Adelaide Fringe and The Melbourne Comedy Festival. He has performed at the famous Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and The Super Serious Show. He has shared the stage with the likes of Sarah Silverman and is currently a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He is the mind behind radio show “Manthropology” on Syn FM – a conversation hour about modern day masculinity. Simon has interviewed the likes of Sam Harris and Catherine Deveny about what it means to be a man today.

Known for his insightful entertainment and lyrical flair, Simon has been a Raw Comedy Finalist, is the reigning Victorian Poetry Slam Champion and has won The Butterfly Club’s Under Our Wing Award (previously won by Tim Minchin & Sammy J).
