The Adelaide Fringe wouldn’t be the Adelaide Fringe without a bit of sparkle and glitter. One show that captures all this and more is Dancing Queen: The ABBA Tribute Show, which is set to turn dinner and a show into a full-blown disco fantasy as it makes its South Australian debut, landing at the Adelaide Royal Coach for a six-night run from Tuesday, March 10th to Sunday, March 15th.
Brought to life by Interactive Theatre International and Grumble Entertainment, this isn’t your standard tribute concert. Dancing Queen is a high-energy, interactive dinner party that invites audiences to do more than just sit back and watch. Over two hours, guests are treated to live performances of ABBA’s greatest hits and a delicious two-course meal served as the show unfolds around the room.
Taking over the Adelaide Room at the Adelaide Royal Coach, the experience transforms the venue into a celebration of one of pop music’s most beloved bands. With sing-alongs, cheeky audience interaction and plenty of opportunities to dance in your seat or get up and move if the mood strikes. It’s immersive, upbeat and totally fun, designed to transport audiences straight into ABBA’s world of disco anthems.
After touring the music of ABBA across Australia, the cast is thrilled to debut a new version at the Adelaide Fringe. Performer Eilannin Harris-Black shared, “It’s reimagined, refreshed, and ready to party. We are so excited to debut our new immersive dinner show at Adelaide Fringe before the rest of Australia gets to see it.”
The production comes from the team behind global smash-hit Faulty Towers The Dining Experience and Fringe favourite Confetti & Chaos, so audiences can expect an expert production, perfectly timed comedy and plenty of chaos.
So dust off the sequins, channel your inner dancing queen and prepare to sing, laugh and sway the night away. Dancing Queen: The ABBA Tribute Show is sure to be one of Fringe 2026’s most joyful, feel-good experiences.
