The Wine Science Show is in Adelaide to debunk myths, reveal wine history and give a good laugh.
In a Mythbusters style wine show this is a chance to discover the true story of Dom Perignon – an often lied about icon of Champagne.
There’ll be fermentation, neuroscience, chemistry, Microsoft Paint and classic science articles such as Acetate Causes Alcohol Hangover Headache in Rats (Maxwell et al. 2010).
The Wine Science Show sold out nights at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and received great reviews.
It is hosted by Luke Morris, who after planting a vineyard at the age of 17 worked in wineries and wine sales in Australia and abroad for over 20 years, with companies such as Pondalowie Vineyards, Weavers Wines and Langton’s Auctions.
Luke has also written and performed stand-up comedy in Australia, England and Iceland, and studied Psychological Sciences at Latrobe University.
The Wine Science Show is a combination of his professional wine knowledge, comedy writing, and science enthusiasm.
There’ll be no other shows at the Adelaide Fringe that will help you laugh, learn and libate.
