DJ Josh is bringing back her legendary Golden Years Legends Show for one unforgettable night at the 2025 Adelaide Fringe Festival. This year’s performance holds even more significance, as DJ Josh with an all-star lineup of Australian talent dedicate the night to Amanda Phillips – a beloved South Australian arts leader and creative who bravely faces advanced cancer and is travelling to Perth imminently for life-saving medical treatment not available elsewhere in Australia.
With an incredible lineup of powerhouse performers, including Nikki Kosmider-Heuskes, Carlie Hunter, Rosie Zobel, Olivia Oates, Harry S. Smith, and Michael Jaxon Carson, the Golden Years Legends Show will be a celebration of music, dance, and iconic performances. The show is a tribute to the legendary artists who have shaped the music world, from Avicii to Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson to Robert Miles.
A portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated to Amanda Phillips’ GoFundMe campaign to assist with her ongoing medical treatment. Amanda’s contributions to South Australia’s arts community are huge, from her work as the Creative Producer of Felicity Arts to her role as Artistic Director of Dance Hub SA. Her innovative work in contemporary dance, which combines digital elements with performance, has earned her numerous awards, including a Churchill Fellowship and the prestigious Ruby Award for Innovation. As part of DJ Josh’s Golden Years legacy, Amanda has previously appeared on stage, designing and driving live visuals, and VJ-ing with her partner and audiovisual guru, Alexander Waite Mitchell.
“Amanda has given her heart and soul to the arts. Now it’s our turn to give back. This show is for her,” DJ Josh, a longtime friend to Amanda since the globally significant 1990s electronic dance music scene of Adelaide, says.
“I was simply blow away when Joshy announced the plan for this year’s Golden Years in the Adelaide Fringe. She’s the legend,” Amanda says. “Words are finite and unable to convey my palpable emotion about this generous act of heart, music and dance. I’ll let the music and the dance speak for me, and through me, on the night. And what an unforgettable night it will be.”
The Golden Years Legends Show is a high-energy, nostalgia-filled experience that celebrates the music and the performers who have influenced generations. The night will take the audience on a musical journey, featuring classic anthems and timeless hits from artists who are no longer with us. Expect to hear the songs of Avicii, Michael Hutchence, Whitney Houston, and more, delivered by some of the most talented performers in the country.
Headlining the show is DJ Josh, one of Australia’s most awarded and influential female DJs. Known for her contributions to the Australian dance music scene, DJ Josh has been a fixture in the industry for over 40 years and continues to inspire with her passion and dedication.
Joining her on stage will be Nikki Kosmider-Heuskes, a vocal powerhouse with over 40 years of industry experience, as well as tribute artist Michael Jaxon Carson, known for his stunning Michael Jackson performances. The night will also feature award-winning trumpet player Harry S. Smith, pole dance champions Carlie Hunter, Rosie Zobel, and Olivia Oates, and the charismatic MC Maestro D, who has been a defining voice in Australia’s underground rave and club scene for over three decades.
This is a rare chance to witness an unforgettable lineup of performers as they take you on a journey through music, dance, and entertainment – all while supporting an incredible cause.
