Making its Adelaide Fringe debut with a five-night season in Fool’s Paradise – The Vault, Feathers & Jazz Soirée presents a refined take on cabaret that feels closer to a stylish jazz club than a traditional Fringe show. Designed as a premium experience, the production blends live music, showgirl spectacle and contemporary burlesque into a cohesive and visually striking hour of entertainment.
A defining feature of the show is its live soundtrack, performed by six-piece ensemble The Artisan Jazz Project. Modern pop favourites, including Wonderwall, Fever and Red Right Hand, are transformed into smooth, sultry jazz numbers, evoking a sense of familiarity while reframing the songs through a vintage lens. Audiences recognise the melodies instantly, but hear them anew, creating a powerful blend of nostalgia and surprise that anchors the entire evening.
On stage, shimmering feathers, couture-inspired costumes and polished choreography unfold with confidence and flair. Presented by Selene Wilde Productions, the show brings together a standout cast of showgirls and burlesque soloists, guided by the sharp wit and magnetic presence of MC Nona Mona. Across the performance, 17 local South Australian artists take the stage, creating an ensemble that celebrates both individuality and collective glamour.
While the show nods to old-world cabaret clubs, Feathers & Jazz Soirée is designed firmly with a modern audience in mind. It is inclusive, playful and visually elevated, offering burlesque that is fashion-forward and unapologetically glamorous without relying on shock value.
