Presented by Strut & Fret, “La Ronde” is an international grand variété of circus extraordinaires held inside The Spiegeltent at The Garden of Unearthly Delights. In this 90 minute performance, you can feel the allure of some of the world’s very best variety artists, blending the exquisite, the elegant and the extraordinary, the twisted and the utterly delightful in this world premiere trip to the Adelaide Fringe.
Featuring groundbreaking Las Vegas performers, circus luminaries from Europe and America, a prodigy of the prestigious Folies Bergère cabaret theatre in Paris, and a range of artists from the European cabaret scene, La Ronde spins you around a world where identities blur and boundaries vanish. Artists, dreamers, aristocrats, and thieves collide in this captivating carousel of love and mischief.
Taking the stage is Polina Karvovskaya, a Belarusian hair-hanging performer and joint world record holder for the most spins while suspended from the hair in 30 seconds (68). She’ll be joined by Columbian circus performer Felipe Reyes, who specialises in aerial-bicycle duos, handstands, aerial winches, and mouth hanging. Australian acrobat Adam Malone is also part of the cast, bringing his expertise in hand balancing, various aerial acts, and group acrobatics.
La Ronde is pencilled in for a bunch of dates in February and March. The full schedule is listed below:

Just so you know, the show is sprinkled with occasional coarse language, sexual references and nudity, so La Ronde has a content rating of M15+ and also features smoke machines and strobe lightning. But don’t let that deter you from going along (if you’re of age!), because to add to all the excitement, La Ronde also offers audience members the opportunity to interact or join the artists on stage.
