Fringe musical A Night in Paris is back to serve Parisian cabaret vibes

The award-winning show is centered around Adelaide singer Louise Blackwell, who has many Fringe seasons under her belt.

A Night in Paris is an award-winning musical show that celebrates the artists of the great French songbook.

Adelaide singer Louise Blackwell is joined by Mark Simeon Ferguson on keys, Julian Ferraretto on violin, John Aue on double bass and Josh Baldwin on drums and they have been delighting audiences with their French showcase of songs by artists including Leo Ferre, Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Barbara, Edith Piaf, Serge Gainsbourg, Jean Constantin, Juliette Greco and Yves Montand. 

Louise recreates an authentic Parisian cabaret vibe telling stories of this great city where she lived and was once inhabited by these legends of the French variety cabaret scene.

‘Louise Blackwell and The French Set’ have had Fringe seasons from 2016 to 2020 including: A NIGHT IN PARIS I & II, and FROM PARIS WITH LOVE. In 2018, they won a Fringe Weekly Music Award for A NIGHT IN PARIS with CD release and video clips, and the team has performed at GLUTTONY, Nexus Arts, St. John’s Anglican Church, Stirling Fringe, Fringe at Marion Cultural Centre, and Mount Gambier Fringe.

French shows and events include Art Gallery of South Australia, Alliance Française French Market, Adelaide Festival Centre’s French Festival, Bonjour Barossa French Festival at Seppeltsfield, La Bohème, Wheatsheaf Hotel, Onkaparinga Arts, The Parks Theatre, Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Masonic Hall, Trinity Sessions.
