Gravity & Other Myths (GOM) is back at the Adelaide Fringe this season with a new production called The Mirror – an awe-inspiring, thought-provoking show that combines acrobatics with deep, personal reflection. After successful runs at the Sydney Opera House and the Chameleon Theatre in Berlin, The Mirror is making its South Australian premiere at The Octagon in Gluttony this February 21st through March 23rd.

A journey of self-exploration, The Mirror invites audiences to look into the complexities of human nature, reflecting on our self-image and the dualities of modern life. With elements of nostalgia and surprise, the show presents a powerful spectacle filled with jaw-dropping physical feats, immersive design, and cutting-edge technology. Through the fusion of acrobatics and performance art, The Mirror explores both the nourishing and sinister aspects of how we perceive ourselves and the world around us.

Starring award-winning duo Ekrem Phoenix and Darcy Grant, along with the extraordinary ensemble of GOM, The Mirror pushes the boundaries of contemporary circus, inviting the audience into a space where illusion, indulgence, and the improbable reign supreme. Their fearless exploration of movement and self-expression takes viewers on a wild ride – sexy, cheeky, and full of surprises in all the right ways.

The highly anticipated show brings together athleticism and emotion, daring audiences to reflect on the layers of their identity, the masks they wear, and the truths they may not yet understand. With the outstanding acrobatics that GOM is known for, every leap, twist, and fall feels like a piece of the story – each physical act driving home the metaphorical journey of self-exploration. The show combines both pure entertainment and profound personal reflection, inviting you to let go of the familiar and embrace the unexpected.

This 75-minute show is set to captivate, entertain, and inspire deep reflection, delivering a world-class performance right in the heart of Adelaide.
