Everyone’s Fringe favourite, Olivier winning cabaret star Le Gateau Chocolat has returned to Adelaide. But this time he’s brought Britain’s favourite drag artist, Jonny Woo with him and together they salute (or should that be karate chop) musical theatre.

Popular musicals from Phantom Of The Opera to Grease get covered in Chocolat and Woo-ed. Even Disney’s Frozen is re-heated and Beauty And The Beast uses special lighting designed by no less than the audience! Woo gives a one man/woman version of At The End Of The Day from Les Miserable and Gateau shows us how I Dreamed A Dream should be sung (well, if you’re a bearded man in a dress, that is).

The above examples are only a taste of the hilarious treatment these two delightful drag divas deliver. But not all is twisted and tortured for laughs. Chocolat and Woo singing the duet I Know Him So Well from Chess is just stunning.

The two performers obviously get on extremely well and can (pretend) cat fight with the best of them.

Forget MacIntosh, Lloyd Webber, Sondheim et al, Chocolat and Woo are making the Garden Of Unearthly Delights come alive with the sound of music.
