Fringe Review: Diffusion – The Movies In My Mind

Presented by Cazeleon
Reviewed 22 Feb 2018

Let’s get something straight from the start – this is not a drag show. Cazeleon is a gender fluid cabaret chameleon.

Diffusion: The Movies In My Mind hypnotised this reviewer from the very beginning. There is not one dull moment in this mash-up silent movie/film noir/musical/bio-pic drama style salute to the movies and more importantly, to Cazeleon him/herself.

This is an act that one would normally travel to places like London to see and now it’s on our very own doorstep for the very first time. Cazeleon’s voice is incredible! There is the full voice of a soprano, with absolutely no falsetto, then all of a sudden this manly tenor emerges.

This is a Fringe show that could quite easily return as a full Cabaret Festival act – and we should hope that it does.
