A knowledge of Greek mythology is not a perquisite for this show, but it will make sure you get all the jokes! Appearing as a stylized Zeus complete with lightning bolts, Garry Starr is unassuming and accessible, a complete clown in the true sense of the word as he engages and includes the audience. With his list of Geek Gods to get through using ditties and an assortment of costumes he keeps the laughs coming.

Nothing is too much and there is no costume with too little (it definitely lives up to it’s M rating) as Garry reveals a few surprises – Herculean feats and jelly snakes have their moments. It’s difficult to explain the flow of the show but there is not a dull moment. I have not laughed so hard for a very long time.

Damien Warren-Smith (aka Garry Starr) has a long line of credits having studied in Sydney, worked for some years in London and trained as a clown in Paris and Berlin. Following successful shows in Melbourne and the UK, he moved on to solo work: this is his second solo show. Do yourself a favour and get along to this show, we could all do with a good laugh!
