Everyone has insecurities, some more than others; this short production explores the deepest of these: the fear of meeting new people – the knowledge that you will say the wrong thing, the feeling of complete exposure if you let people in.

Legally blind performer Sam Brewer worked with director Claudia Osborne, writer Thomas De Angelis and his fellow performers Charlie Davenport and Grace Victoria to devise this piece. It is highly entertaining and thought provoking as we watch Sam struggle with unfamiliar situations and people.

Much of the success depends on the animations by Daniel Harris and the soundscape designed and operated by Angus Mills. The production is smooth and seamless under the hands of producer Ruth Hollows.

It would be interesting to see what this team can come up with in a full hour format.
