Holy moly! One of the funniest shows to hit Adelaide in many a year is the first coming of Jesus L’Oreal. Performer Chris JS Wilson nails it in his Australian premiere, getting his audience into some Jehovah’s Fitness to move those stones!

Wilson is a master of word play and barely a line is waisted (sic) as he flexes his satirical skills in this divine comedy about the misunderstood son of God. He’s a (social media) influencer with the gift of the gab, out to celebrate the launch of his new fitness video with some good old-fashioned Pontius Pilates.

His twisted lyrics to popular tunes are as well-interpreted as the Bible and he keeps the audience in fits of laughter from his first appearance to his last. There’s rarely a show so worth seeing twice but the laughs come so fast, it’s easy to miss some of the jokes in just one sermon.

His go-getting assistant, Mary Magdalene, devoutly supports the dance routines and rightly earns a few cheers and laughs of her own, but it’s Jesus L’Oreal Superstar that the flocks have gathered to see and they won’t be disappointed by his words of wisdom or tight buttocks.

Jesus L’Oreal: Nailed It is a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Yes, he did.

HalleBerrylujah!
